Product Introduction

The PP and wound filter cartridge is a real powerhouse for mechanical filtration. It combines two different physical filtration technologies into one. This dual-layer sediment filter has an outer string-wound depth filter that captures large amounts of coarse sediment, and an inner melt-blown or pleated polypropylene layer that polishes out fine particles. This multi-gradient depth filter is built for situations where high sediment load is the main concern—giving you unbeatable dirt-holding capacity and protection.

Product Uses

  • Machine tool coolant filtration – Serves great as an industrial coolant filter, continuously removing metal fines, dirt, and grinding particles from machining coolants. Extends coolant life and protects equipment.

  • Pre-filtration for surface water – Used on farms, in parks, and on golf courses as a pre-filter for water drawn from rivers, lakes, or ponds for irrigation—prevents nozzle clogs.

  • Construction site water treatment – Filters silt and sand from temporary water supplies on construction sites, giving you cleaner water for tools and facilities.



Product Operate Guide

  1. Isolate the filter housing from the system.

  2. Open the housing and take out the used cartridge.

  3. Install the new PP and wound filter.

  4. Close up the housing and slowly bring flow back into the system.

  5. Keep an eye on the pressure gauge. A big increase means the cartridge is full and needs replacement.

Q: Is it chemically resistant?

A: Yes, as it is made from 100% polypropylene, it offers good chemical resistance to a wide range of acids, alkalis, and solvents, making it suitable for various coolants.


Q: Can it be used for drinking water?

A: If made from food-grade polypropylene, it can be used for sediment removal in drinking water applications. However, it does not remove chemicals or microbes.
